How do you obtain the e3 Green Tick: e3 Carbon Matrix

In order for your business to receive its e3 Green Tick certification your workplace must have reduced its carbon footprint by at least 20% during the 60 day challenge period.
e3 believes overall greenhouse gas reductions are effectively achieved by working within your business structure, therefore we will integrate the Carbon Challenge steps into the day-to-day operations of all participant SMEs. e3 has developed a “Carbon Matrix” representational pyramid and table from which we will determine your business activities and their consequent GHG emissions within the broad categories: Electricity, transport / fuels and materials / resources. Office culture will also be considered qualitatively.

These broad categories will provide the general representation of areas within your business operations that generate GHG emissions. From the data provided in the initial questionnaire, e3 will determine the specific weighting that each of these activities contributes to the overall business activity.
These weightings will be set at the start of the Carbon Challenge as the ‘baseline’ and e3 can then provide a clear set of strategies for GHG reduction in your business that can be applied over the 60 day period of the Challenge.
